General

The Red Kiwis hold Orienteering events in the Manawatu, Horowhenua, Wanganui and Tararua regions.
Our club membership comprises individuals, couples and family groups of all ages.

Casuals are always welcome at our events.

The Red Kiwi Orienteering Club is affiliated to the New Zealand Orienteering Federation . We are also a member of the Wellington Orienteering Association (WOA).
Other clubs in WOA are Wellington, Hutt Valley, Kapiti Havoc, Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay.

Event fees range from $5 - $12. You can go on your own, in pairs or even in groups. There is always a course suitable for beginners and help is available to get you started. If you join the Club, membership entitles you to the benefit of affiliation to the NZ Orienteering Federation (NZOF), reduced map fees at all NZ orienteering clubs events, and newsletters.

  • Events cater for all ages, 0 to 100+
  • Are suitable for Walkers, Joggers as well as Runners.

  • For the really young i.e. 2+ year olds there is often a String Course provided.

Club Tracksuit, Badges and O'tops

Over the last couple of years there has been discussion that the club needs a new club track suit.  This year our new running tops were purchased by lots of members and they look really great.
If you or any of your family would like to have a track suit we have decided that the microfibre tracksuit offered by Arbuckles on the corner of Church and Cook Streets in PNth.
We have chosen the black and red one to represent Red Kiwi Orienteering Club. 
As the sizing can be very deceiving  we have decided that those who wish to purchase a suit should do so by visiting Arbuckles themselves and buying direct from them.
